Black Girls Code
Their Vision: To increase the number of women of color in the digital space by empowering girls of color ages 7 to 17 to become innovators in STEM fields, leaders in their communities, and builders of their own futures through exposure to computer science and technology. To provide African-American youth with the skills to occupy some of the 1.4 million computing job openings expected to be available in the U.S. by 2020, and to train 1 million girls by 2040.
All Star Code
Their Mission: All Star Code creates economic opportunity by developing a new generation of boys and young men of color with an entrepreneurial mindset who have the tools they need to succeed in a technological world.
Their Vision: All Star Code envisions a country where all young men of color have access to the tools of success, where the ability to thrive is available to all who are willing to dare greatly.
Vets Who Code
Their Vision: #VetsWhoCode is a veteran-led and operated 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit that focuses on training veterans in web development and software engineering principles free of charge with the focus of starting careers as JavaScript developers.
